Moto2 Sepang 2016: Morbidelli il più veloce nelle FP2

A Sepang, teatro domenica del penultimo round del Motomondiale 2016 (questi gli orari tv), dopo MotoGP e Moto3, è andato in scena il secondo turno di prove libere anche per la Moto2, unica categoria dove il titolo è ancora da assegnare.

Le FP2 hanno visto Franco Morbidelli (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) staccare il crono migliore, con 2’08.816, in una sessione che ha fatto come sempre del grande equilibrio il filo conduttore, al punto che nove piloti sono racchiusi in meno di un secondo.

Lo testimoniano gli 89 millesimi che separano il pilota italiano da Takaaki Nakagami (IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia), secondo ed i 100 millesimi che ricacciano Alex Marquez (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) al terzo posto, dopo che il pilota spagnolo era stato a lungo in testa alla lista dei tempi.

Quarto posto per Jonas Folger (+0.212), quinto per il capoclassifica del mondiale Johann Zarco (+0.217), sesto per Sandro Cortese (+0.620,), con Luthi settimo a +0.665, quindi Syahrin a +0.767, Lowes  a +0.986 e Vierge decimo a +1.123.

Tra gli italiani, 16° tempo per Mattia Pasini, che ha preceduto Alex Rins, anch’egli in lotta per il titolo, con Baldassarri 19°, Corsi 20°, Marini 21° e Nocco 26°.
